Songs Mania 2008

2008 has been a good year for music. Many good songs have been released this year. There are many types of music that have been successfull. A.R Rahman's Jodhaa Akbar, Jaane Tu Na jana Ne and Ghajini are traditional type. Rock On was different type of music by Shanka-Ehsaan-Loy seen in Indian film industry, A rock band movie having good rock songs and good vocal by Farhan Akhtar. Race had a good fast numbers which had fast beats. Janaat a Emraan Hashmi style music by Pritam Chakraborty and Kamran Ahmed was also a hit.Mar Jawaan from fashion my favourite song sung by Salim has also been my favourite because of the beats of the songs. Haule Haule, a song from Rab Ne bana Di jodi sung by Sukhwinder also has nice drum beats .

There were many more good numbers but these where one of bests song from Indian Bollywood Industry in 2008 and will need your voting to get the number one Song. Till now Jaane Tu ya jaane na is leading but time is there to decide.

Karz

This remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1980s super hit Karz has basically the same storyline as the original with a little twist added to it. So for all those who haven’t seen the original, the plot goes like this – Kamini (Urmila) marries Ravi Verma (Dino Morea) for his riches and bumps him off immediately after their marriage. Two decades later, the biggest music sensation in South Africa, Monty (Himesh) one day suddenly during a rehearsal starts playing a tune and goes into a trance, with intense visual flashes of a mansion, a temple, a beautiful girl and ends up collapsing unconscious. Further a flash back reveals that Monty was actually Ravi Verma in his previous life, married to a beautiful girl called Kamini. Monty now has the grave realization of having been reborn in his current persona. His beautiful love interest (Tina) is none other than Kamini’s foster daughter. From here starts Monty’s new journey. A journey of revenge! How he accomplishes it and gives justice to Ravi Verma’s hapless old mother and sister forms the rest of the film. The basic premise of this film is even exciting for anyone of today’s generation. But one thing that one needs to keep in mind while watching this film is that it is not completely aimed at the multiplex going audience. It has been treated like a typical masala film aimed at the masses and to enjoy one needs to keep his brains back at home. The things that work are - The enthusiasm of Himesh in reprising Rishi Kapoor’s Monty. Himesh has given it his all and his efforts show. You root for him in the second half when he starts playing games with Urmila. The action sequences, especially the climax ones are mind blowing. Another good plus is the performance by Urmila in her first ever full blown villainous role. Her venomous act is bound to get her few awards this year for sure. She has even exposed her body a lot in those glamorous dresses. Gulshan Grover (as Sir Judah) in his unusual get up leaves a mark. Danny as the every helpful Kabir chacha (played by Pran in the original) and Asrani lend able support. But the things that don’t really work are – The pairing of Himesh and debutante Shweta Kumar. They share an extremely thanda chemistry. Considering it is her debut film, the poor gal hasn’t been properly presented as well. In the acting department she still has a long way to go. The styling of the film is extremely poor excluding that of Himesh’s. The set design is straight out of the 80s films. Also, despite having so many dance numbers, there is not a single song that stays in your mind thanks to some really pathetic choreography with those now mandatory firang dancers around. The high point of the original Karz, the Ek Hasina Thi number falls flat in here in its new version. As a director, Satish Kaushik fails to add any independent distinct style. I suggest dont listen to songs its a waste.

Dostana Review

Starring: Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Bobby Deol and Kirron Kher; Director: Tarun Mansukhani
Date Seen; 15/11/2008 Duration 2 hrs 30 mins
rating: 2/5
Final verdict: No sense, but for the laugh glamour and songs you can see it once.

Dostana

Dostana’ rocks when it’s funny. But it shocks when you see a nicely developed plot lose its substance and become just a bland and emotionless tale of friendship and love in the second half. You have to have a slightly cheeky sense of humour to like a film like Dostana , which is packed with over-the-top gay gags and ample gloss to glaze your eyes. There’s Shilpa Shetty in half-covered bikinis, Priyanka Chopra in beachwear and John Abraham in pulled-down (not all the way) underwear. If that doesn’t interest you (which I doubt), the humour in ‘Dostana’ would entertain you enough to sit through the length of the film without much bum adjustment. The problem is that all the bonhomie and hilarity in ‘Dostana’ fail to culminate into a story that touches you. Sam ( Abhishek Bachchan ) and Kunal ( John Abraham ) are young bachelors in Miami who keep running into each other coincidentally. Both are out to look for a house when they come across a lushly decorated apartment in a Miami high-rise. The only hitch is that a girl named Neha (Priyanka Chopra) already lives in a room there and her aunt won’t rent the apartment to guys for obvious reasons. To be able to rent the place, Sam and Kunal invent a lie that they are a gay couple and, therefore, Neha has nothing to fear from them. After Sam and Kunal move into the apartment, they have to pretend to be a gay couple all the time. This leads to a series of humourous situations where the duo are confronted with Neha’s gay boss ( Boman Irani ) and Sam’s conservative Punjabi mother ( Kiron Kher ).Trouble begins when Sam and Kunal fall in love with Neha but she is blissfully unaware of their feelings, because she is convinced they are gays. She rather loves her new boss ( Bobby Deol ).‘Dostana’ is a full-on fun film that doesn’t trouble itself with authentic depiction of gay love. The men-in-love are shown predictably effeminate and pansy (their brawny bods notwithstanding) and a viewer doesn’t feel that the gays are being mocked because it’s all in good fun and banter. After all, the lead pair doesn’t play gays, but only straight men pretending as gays. Only one character is gay in the film and that’s brilliantly portrayed by Boman Irani.Abhishek Bachchan is the driving force of ‘Dostana’. The actor plays his over-the-top character with such ease and conviction that you don’t mind one bit even when he ends up making faces to make you laugh. John Abraham’s performance is restricted to a few expressions, the most repeated of which is a frozen, fixated look that he often gives to the other actors in the frame. ‘Dostana’ proves yet again that John – no matter how hot or cool he looks – is yet to become an actor.Priyanka Chopra looks superhot and acts well. Kiron Kher overperforms in a scene or two, while Bobby Deol appears uptight and restrained. The movie’s production values and the styling of the characters are topnotch. The music, though not impressive, blends sweetly into the narrative. But more outstanding is the background score, which actually adds an extra punch to the humour.‘Dostana’ might have been a roller-coaster joyride had the director known where to take the story in the second half. The plot merely skims through the three romantic tracks (between Abhi, John, Priyanka and Bobby) without making you feel for a single one of them. So even though the film entertains you, it doesn’t touch your heart the way it could have.

Ghajini Review

The film has always been in news because of various reasons and has created some amount of Hype around it already . But the trailer might slow down the hype to an extent. The trailer for me first of all was very “Thunda” and nothing except the music of it left me wanting for more .The first trailer of a supposedly Psychological Action Thriller shows the lead actor Dancing in some exotic locations of probably Namibia . The lead actor flaunting his six packs and the lead girl Shriya smiling her way into his heart in a fantasy land . If we leave the dancing part then there is very much less left in the trailer and that part also is very weak . We only get to see Aamir Khan throwing a punch at a person which is a typical South Indian film Punch that usually Rajnikanth throws in his flicks .For all the guys that don’t know this film is a remake of a south-Indian flick of the same name which in turn was majorly inspired by the Hollywood Psycho-Thriller “Memento” directed by Brilliant Director Christopher Nolan . You all might have seen The Dark Knight which is also directed by Nolan so you know his Brilliance . “Memento” is a very unusual film and if made in an exact manner as it is , would never work among Indian audience . It has a very non-linear Narrative style and something quite complicated for our audience that loves David Dhawan type of cinema . The story of memento is as such that there can’t be any song sequence anywhere . It is an intense film with no light moments . I don’t know how would the Director Murugadoss manage to break into a random song sequence in such an intense story . I’ve not seen the Tamil version so can’t comment on the film but I just hope that it does not turn out to be a south Indian commercial film with defiance of all logic . From the looks of the trailer it looks like the film would be more commercial in nature and would work amongst commercial cinema loving audience . The only thing that I loved about the trailer was the fantastic music by ARR and the humming by Sonu Nigam . I always expect something like Lagaan or TZP from Aamir , off beat yet entertaining . I hated Fanaa though it was a huge commercial success . Its just that I don’t like to see Aamir in commercial cinema . One thing that goes against Ghajini is the fact that none of the Directors form South apart from Mani Ratnam have succeeded in Hindi film Industry . Ghajini won’t have much of future in South also since they have already seen the film with their favourite actor . In all , the trailer didn’t work for me as I was expecting it to be something unusual . This turned out to be like thousands of trailers in the past and probably even worse . This trailer I am sure would be loved by Die-Hard Aamir fans since he is in a completely new look and also doing some good moves in the trailer . A very so so first trailer of a very much anticipated film of the year . I have huge expectations from this film considering the bad year this has been for films and I just hope Ghajini doesn’t turn out to be a Rajni .

Yuvraj Music Review

The album for me is of more interest since it is probably for the first time that we might get to listen to pure western classical compositions with an ARR (A. R. Rehman) touch and without any Indian elements . ARR’s last album Jaane Tu.. was an instant hit among the youth and had nothing classical in it . This album’s value increases more since ARR is teaming up with Gulzar again and the duo have done nothing less than wonders in the past . The album has a total of Nine songs with 8 originals and 1 remix which is a rarity these days . We often get more remixes than the originals . Sometimes we also get 3-4 version of the same track on the same album .This album at least breaks that trend and the originals outnumber the remixes by a huge difference .
The first track on the album is an Introduction track for the lead character “Yuvvraaj” in the film . It just has Salman Khan giving an intro along with Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony . Salman’s dialogue delivery isn’t that good and his monotonous voice mismatches completely with the Beethoven Symphony . The symphony is full of dramatics and Salman’s dialogues sound like he is talking to someone on a telephone , quite casual . He has not at all modulated his voice because he can’t . The music no where matches his voice . This one is a track that would be combined along with the next track on the album which makes it sound even more out of the place . The singer on the next track doesn’t sound like Salman at all . This thing that I am talking about would be more clear to you when you would listen to the two tracks one after the other .
The second track on the album “Tu Meri Dost hai” is a fabulous track and one of my favourite. Just listen to starting violin piece in the song and it shows us the brilliance of ARR. I could just listen to the starting piece for the whole day . It has been very well sung by all the singers and especially Benny Dayal who does a fine job . He sings very well but I think his voice won’t suit Salman that much . This one is a musical love story and we have seen in the west how actors themselves first learn singing and sing their songs themselves in a musical . This makes it much more entertaining and they act even through their singing . Indian musicals make very less sense as we know throughout the film that he is a singer in the film but it is actually someone else who is singing which makes it a little less believable . In any case this track is a nice one which starts off in a magnificent way .What I didn’t like was that it doesn’t manage to maintain the quality with which it starts . It raises the bar in the starting and then lowers it a little by the end . Shreya and Rehman also do a great job as singers .
Next one is a Disco Track and after giving a super duper hit “Pappu Can’t Dance” ARR doesn’t manage to repeat the magic . This one neither has those catchy lyrics nor it has the groovy tune . I don’t blame Gulzaar Sir for the lyrics since it is a little out of his style . Still , he had done a fabulous job in “Fana” of Yuva . I got seriously disappointed with ARR after listening to this track . This track feels completely out of the place .
The fourth song on the album “Tu Muskura” brings back the classical mood and is also on the slower and romantic side . This track also has inputs from “Tu meri Dost hain” in between . It would be picturized on Katrina since she is the only female lead in the film . It is a nice romantic song and has a nice tune . The tune is not as great as it was in “Tu meri dost” but still is good enough to hold the song . Alka Yagnik does a good job in singing and has been very well supported by Jaaved Ali . This one interestingly has Indian classical singing inputs in between by Jaaved which sound good .
The fifth track on the album is “Mastam Mastam” which sounds more like an African composition in the starting and reminded me of the songs from Walt Disney’s - Lion King . A very new sounding song that would be interesting to watch in the film . It has a good tune backing all the wild music . The song has been very well sung by Sonu as usual and he is just fabulous in whatever he sings . The track abruptly changes its tune in the middle part which in a way surprised me but not in a positive way . The lyrics have nothing much to offer . Just listen to the singing style of the various singers and how much they enjoy the song while singing . It is more of a Singer’s song and Sonu , Alka , Benny and Naresh all do a great job . Without their singing the song wouldn’t have came out this good . It is a nice experimental track that I am sure would be visually much more exciting than audio wise . If you have seen Disney’s “Enchanted” then I am sure you remember the musical song where everybody starts singing along with the lead couple and slowly slowly a large crowd starts singing and dancing with them . I am sure they would also try to attempt something like that in this song . In all , a song that would look great in the film if shot in the right way .
The next track on the album is “zindagi” which is a slow sad song and we have seen Hariharan sing such songs in ARR’s previous albums . This one though has been sung by Srinivas and he also does a good job . The whole lyrics and tune are good but nothing extraordinary and not as good as “Tu Hi Re” of Bombay .A good track but such a track is not expected from ARR since he has given much better in the past .
The Seventh track on the album “Dil Ka Rishta” is something that Subhash Ghai has tried to repeat from Taal . This one might be climax song and would feature near to the end of the film . If you remember in Taal also the second symphonic version of “Ishq Bina” was used towards the end of the film during which the story kept moving . In a similar fashion even this song would have the story moving in the background along with all the emotions of a Love Story flowing in excess . This song is very long (7:39) and is also not that good to hold the audience for its entire length . On the contrary the second symphonic version on “Ishq Bina” in Taal was not only long but also had the potential to keep the audience entertained for its length . The singers do an average job and the music is also good in bits and pieces . Some of the pieces of music are so good that they could very well be used in background for the movie .Overall , the song is a bit long and not entertaining enough .
The last original track on the album, “Manmohini” , is a modern version of Indian Classical Songs . The song has been very well sung by Vijay Prakash who has that Classical voice and the song completely suits him . This song is not as good as “Albela Sajan” of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam but isn’t that bad also . A very short length track that has just some Classical renditions in it . A track that is a little different from the entire album .
Then in the end comes a remix of “Shano” which has been remixed well by Krishna Chetan but the English lyrics in it have nothing new in it and are the same old ones . This one is much smaller than the original which is nice thing since I found the original one much longer and repetitive .
Overall ,as a die hard Rehman fan this one disappointed a lot and is below the expectations . Only one track “Tu meri Dost hai” impresses and all other tracks are an average affair and are expected as it is an ARR album . Much below by the ARR standards and I expected a lot from this one since it had ARR and Gulzar both along with Subhash Ghai . It looks like history didn’t repeat itself after Taal and this album stands no where as compared to that one . The whole western classical that I was expecting was also given in small doses that also adulterated with other kinds of music .The lyrics by Gulzar Sir were also not that good as compared to his other works .
Album Rating : 3/5
Final Verdict You can Download Mp3 of Yuvraj Here and listen it once but don’t expect a “Taal” or something like that out of it.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Music Review

Music of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, 2008’s most anticipated movie, directed by Aditya Chopra after a gap of 8 years has finally hit the stores. This film has a lot of expectations considering it’s the first release of Shahrukh Khan this year, debutant Anushka Sharma who is creating a lot of buzz among the crowd, combination of Shahrukh and Aditya which created history with DDLJ in 1995, and Yash Raj Films, which are looking for a big hit this year.
In Bollywood, music of the movie plays a vital role in the success of the movie and if the songs are good then half of the battle is won. Looking back at the track record of Salim – Sulaiman, who also gave the music for Chak De India in 2007 and Fashion this year, winning half of the battle doesn’t seem to be a big problem. And yes, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi succeeds in every department. The power of this soundtrack lies in its simplicity. Let’s get a song by song review of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Verdict- In an age where songs and their remixes are filled with rapping, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi stays away from this. It’s, unequivocally, a gem for the music lovers and the best soundtrack of 2008.
It takes you to those good old days when music was simple and great and at the same time, it has the modern touch to capture universal attention. There is nothing wrong with the soundtrack, no remix, no rapping and most of the songs are of short length which is a big bonus. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is a kaleidoscopic soundtrack which is a must in everyone’s collection.

Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be
it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by
scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable
than my own meandering
experience…I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not
understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and
recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you
imagine.

Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as
effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing
bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that
never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm
on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you

Sing !

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with
people who are reckless with yours.

Floss !

Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes
you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with
yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you
succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Strech!

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your
life…the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they
wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year
olds I know still don’t.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe
you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky
chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t
congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your
choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body,
use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people
think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever
own..

Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for
good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the
people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you
should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and
lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you
knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live
in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will
philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than
it’s worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen…

Dostana Mp3

Movie : Dostana (2008)
Music Director: Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani
Director: Tarun Mansukhani
Producer: Karan Johar
Starring: Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra
Lyricists: Anvita Dutt Guptan,Kumaar, Vishal DadlaniSong
Title Jaane Kyun

01 - Jaane Kyun - Vishal Dadlani (4.25 MB)

02 - Desi Girl - Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan (4.69 MB)

03 - Maa Da Laadla - Saleem (3.75 MB)

04 - Shut Up & Bounce - Sunidhi Chauhan (4.24 MB)

05 - Khabar Nahi - Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, Amanat Ali (3.96 MB)

06 - Kuch Kum - Shaan (5.21 MB)

Expectations from a soundtrack belonging to a Karan Johar film are straight forward - It has to be nothing but superb. With the kind of music that his films have boasted over the years (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Kaal, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai), there is no reason why Dostana should be any different. Add to it names like Vishal and Shekhar who truly understand the pulse of today's youth and you know that this Abhishek Bachchan-Priyanka Chopra-John Abraham starrer would boast of an entertaining soundtrack all the way.
After listening to Dostana, you know that it is not just entertaining in get-set-rocking mode. Instead it also has its moments, especially when it comes to the soft numbers (there are three of them) and this is exactly where the core strength of Dostana lies. The album has a mix of everything - from dance number to softer tracks - all of it ensuring that Vishal-Shekhar have yet another successful album up their sleeves after Bachna Ae Haseeno, Tashan and Om Shanti Om.
A love song with some unconventional lyrics by Anvita Dutt Guptan, 'Jaane Kyun' is an excellent track that gives Dostana a kick start. If the catchy tune isn't good enough, it is the singer who comes behind the mike for this youthful track, who surprises the most. He is none other than Vishal Dadlani himself who shows an entirely different facet of his personality. He is confident enough to entrust himself with the responsibility of going solo for this flagship number of Dostana and doesn't make one feel that any other singer would have done a better job with 'Jaane Kyun'. A fun number which would find immense popularity all over.
A track which requires just one hearing to be classified as a chartbuster being brought to you on a platter is 'Desi Girl'. Want some 'get-on-the-dance-floors' beats? Vishal & Shekhar get it for you. Need some catchy lyrics to get on your lips instantly? Lyricist Kumaar does the job right for you. Expect the singers to get some powerful energy in their vocals? Shankar Mahadevan and Sunidhi Chauhan along with Vishal Dadlani can always be entrusted to do that. And if you thought that the feel of 'Deewangee' (Om Shanti Om) couldn't ever be matched again, then choreographer Farah Khan is just a call away. Overall, a complete package deal where absolutely nothing goes wrong!
A quintessential Punjabi dance number as far as the tune and arrangements are concerned, 'Maa Da Laadla' is the next to come. However, it is the lyrics by Kumaar which makes the number special as there is a lot being conveyed in this hardcore Punjabi number. If one diverts attention away from the racy tune of this number (which is bound to make its presence felt in the discotheques and clubs) and instead delve deep into the lyrics, you would realize that 'Maa Ka Laadla', which has singer Saleem at the helm, is one fun number which would aid the film's narrative in a big way. Watch out for this one!
Next comes the much hyped item number in Dostana which features Shilpa Shetty jiving along with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham on the Miami beach. Titled 'Shut Up & Bounce', the song may sound like a routine/typical dance number but that doesn't come in the way of the potential it holds as far becoming popular in days to come. With Sunidhi Chauhan leading from the front and Vishal Dadlani providing additional vocals, 'Shut Up & Bounce' written by Anvita is all set to be an eye candy all the way, courtesy Miss Shetty and other bevy of beauties expected to dominate the frames captured on the Miami beach.
Vishal and Shekhar reserve the best for the end with two extremely soothing numbers bringing Dostana to an end. First to come is 'Khabar Nahi' which is just the kind that you wish to put in a repeat mode, switch off the lights, close your eyes and expect the song to make you go for that peaceful sleep. If Vishal excelled as a singer in 'Jaane Kyun', one has to hear him in 'Khabar Nahi' where is quite good yet again. A beautiful melody which keeps you smiling away as it plays in the background, 'Khabar Nahi' is a love song written by Anvita which also has Shreya Ghoshal and Amanat Ali lending their vocals along with Raja Hasan.
Shaan would indeed consider himself lucky as he is gifted the best tune and lyrics (Vishal Dadlani does an all around show in the album and also contributes with his writing) in the form of 'Kuch Kum'. A poetic track which moves at a serene pace and has in it the potential to scale the kind of height which the title song of 'Kal Ho Na Ho' did (as far as the soothing feel is concerned) 'Kuch Kum' is easily the best of the lot and is immensely likeable within first listening itself. It is a kind of number that you don't really want to over analyze and instead just hear it to enjoy it to the fullest. No wonder, it has the longest duration when compared to the rest and lasts for close to 6 minutes.
Dostana is an excellent album from Vishal-Shekhar and there is not one single number which doesn't work. In fact if three soft numbers ('Kuch Kum', 'Khabar Nahi' and 'Jaane Kyun') are the pick of the lot then 'Desi Girl' is a definite must for the dance floors. 'Maa Da Laadla' and 'Shut up & Bounce' have their own place under the sun and if the film works well at the theaters (which it should), there is no reason why Dostana won't go on to match the kind of sales that the biggest albums of 2008 (Race, Singh Is Kinng, Jannat, Tashan, JTYJN) have enjoyed this year.

Sindbad Sailor Lyrics- A hit song

Sindbad The Sailor Ek Jahaaz Mein Jab Chala ?
Mere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?
..Doondh Raha Tha Ek Naye Duniya Ka Pata ?
Mere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?..
Woh Anjaane Raahon Mein Tha,
Woh Lehron Ki Baahon Mein Tha
Sab Ne Kaha Tha In Samandaron Mein Jaana Nahin
Mere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?..
Khwaabon Ke Peeche Jaake Kuch Bhi Hai Paana Nahin
Mere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?..
Woh Apni Hi Dhun Mein Raha
, Woh Suntata Dil Ka Kahaan Us Ke The Jo Sapne Wohin Us Ke The Apne,
Aisa Tha Sindbad The Sailor?.
SailorUs Ke The Jo Sapne Wohin Us Ke The Apne,
Aisa Tha Sindbad The Sailor?.Sailor?
Us Ka Jahaaz Gira Tufano Mein, Mere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?.
.Phir Bhi Na Aayi Aandhi Us Ke Armaano
MeinMere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?..
Woh Deewana Aisa Hi Tha Ooo..
Woh Sapno Ka Humrahi Tha Ooo..
Us Ke The Jo Sapne Wohin Us Ke The Apne,
Aisa Tha Sindbad The Sailor?.
Us Ke The Jo Sapne Wohin Us Ke The Apne,
Aisa Tha Sindbad The Sailor?.Sailor?
Woh Kuch Paane Ki Chaah Mein,
Woh Badta Rahan Raahon Mein Gehra Samundar Tha Oonchi Oonchi Lehren
Mere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?.
.Kasthi Acchi Acchi Bhi Mushkil Se Tehre
Mere Yaar Sunlo Sunlo?..
Woh Saahil Pe Gaa Hi Gaya Oooo,
Woh Mazil Ko Paa Hi Gaya Oooo
Us Ke The Jo Sapne Wohin Us Ke The Apne,
Aisa Tha Sindbad The Sailor?
.SailorUs Ke The Jo Sapne Wohin Us Ke The Apne,
Aisa Tha Sindbad The Sailor?.Sailor?
Tum Ho To Gaata Hai Dil ,
Tum Nahin To Geet Kahan,
Tum Ho To Hai Sab Haasil,
Tum Nahin To Kya Hai Yahan
Tum Ho To Hai Sapno Ke Jaisa Haseen Ek SamaJo
Tum Ho To Yeh Lagta Hai Ke Mil Gayi Har KhushiJo
Tum Na Ho Yeh Lagta Hai Ke Har Khushi Mein Hai Kami
Tumko Hai Maangti Yeh Zindagi?..

krazzzy Out

After Dhol and Dhamaal, another hopeful foursome is all set to raise a few laughs and big bucks at the box office. Meet the Krazzy 4.Produced by Rakesh Roshan, the K film marks the debut of his assistant Jaideep Sen and stars Irrfan Khan [Images], Arshad Warsi [Images], Rajpad Yadav and Suresh Menon in the titular role along with Juhi Chawla [Images] and Dia Mirza [Images]. Shah Rukh Khan [Images], Hrithik Roshan [Images] and Rakhi Sawant [Images] pitch in to provide star attraction with an item number each to their credit. As per tradition, younger sibling Rajesh Roshan helms the soundtrack of this comic caper. While the promos featuring a snazzy SRK [Images] sure look impressive, the music isn't exactly in the catchy league of Roshan's work in earlier films like Khudgarz, Kishen Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai or Koi...Mil Gaya.
Video: Watch SRK's item number in Krazzy 4
Here's why.The album kick starts on a peppy note with the title track in all it's jazzed up glory. While Javed Akhtar is the official lyricist, Asif Ali Beg bags the honours of writing the song that features four times in this album. Call it Krazzy 4 or Break free, both numbers are mirror images of each other with petty differences in arrangement and pace. The Hinglish chant is vivaciously performed by composer-singer Vishal Dadlani [Images]. In the line of Saiyaan (Ta Ra Rum Pum [Images]), Kiss of love (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom) and Jame raho (Taare Zameen Par [Images]), the bouncy dude demonstrates his interesting vocal range with yet another crisp rendition. Even if melody is not it's greatest specialty, Break free rides high on style and pizazzThe remixed avatars of the two, by DJ Aqueel, aren't much unlike either. If Krazzy 4 aims to be groovy and zingy, Break free is consciously techno in its approach. The mischievous aspirations of Dekhta hai tu kya fail to translate into a fun and spunky composition. The usually reliable Sunidhi Chauhan [Images] surprisingly hams, contributing to the ongoing cacophony of this garish and uninspiring number. Also, the key line is unmistakably reminiscent of Thare vaste (Shakalaka Boom Boom).O re lakad ikad pakad pingal chungaliya -- what on earth does this mean? It's hard to believe Javed Akhtar could come up with gibberish like this in the name of creativity. If you actually manage to survive the lyrics, brace yourself for another downer. Roshan's staid, droning tune is strictly below average.
Up next, a rather lame situational track Ik rupaiya pops up, giving us a glimpse as to the kind of humour one can expect from Krazzy 4. This one involves squabbling over a loan, a dime, unsolicited gyaan and a whole lot of nonsense. Whew. This one truly drives you krazzy. The album concludes with Ankita Sachdev's gentle rendition of Jan gan man.Barring the title track, the soundtrack of Krazzy 4 is a drag. Hopefully, the film will give us and the makers some reason to smile.

Who is Khwaja

We all might memerize Khwaja mere Khwaja . but do you know who this great person is., Please read below to get a brief idea about him.

Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti, r.a. was born in Seistan (East Persia) also known as Sajistan, around 533 Hijri (1138-39 A.D.) in a well respected family. His father, Khwaja Ghayasuddin, r.a. and mother, Syeda Bibi Ummalwara (alias Bibi Mahe-Noor), were the descendants of Hazrat Ali, r.a. through his sons Imam Hassan and Imam Hussain. Khwaja Sahib lost both his father and mother at an early age of sixteen years. He inherited an orchard and millstone which were his means of livelihood. One day when Khwaja Sahib was working in his orchard, a pious dervish and majzoob, Ebrahim Qandoozi, came and took his seat under the shade of a tree. When Khwaja Sahib saw him, he brought a bunch of grapes and presented it to his guest. The visitor ate the grapes and was delighted. He then took something out of his bag, chewed it, then offered it to his young host. Khwaja Sahib ate it without any hesitation, and at once the light of wisdom and knowledge dawned upon the young Khwaja. Immediately he disposed of all of his worldly belongings and distributed the money amongst the poor. Having thus broken all the ties with worldly affairs, he set off for Samarkand and Bokhara then the great centres of learning for religious education and knowledge.
Spiritual Guidance
When Khwaja Sahib had acquired the best knowledge and wisdom of the time, he travelled widely in search of a Pir (spiritual guide) who could provide him with the best spiritual guidance. He came to know of Hazrat Khwaja Usman Harooni , r.a, who was the greatest scholar and unrivalled spiritual guide of that period. In the very first meeting, Khwaja Sahib completely submitted himself to his Murshid and remained in the company of this great divine spiritual leader, for twenty years and served him devotedly, passing through the various stages of spiritual life. Thus the great Murshid trained and elevated Khwaja Sahib to the highest spiritual attainments.
Hajj and the Prophet's (s.a.w.s) Command
As the great Khwaja Sahib became accomplished and perfect in every respect, the divine tutor honoured him with the robe and took him to Hajj. Both then proceeded to Mecca and performed the Hajj, and then went to Medina and stayed there for some time, to receive blessings from the prophet of Islam (s.a.w.s.)
One night, while in a trance, he was ordered by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s.): "O Muinuddin! you are a prop of our faith. Proceed to India and show the Path of Truth to the people there." In compliance with the above spiritual command, Khwaja Sahib left Medina for India. He continued his journey, passing through Isfahan, Bokhara, Herat, Lahore and Delhi meeting several prominent Sufis of the period. He arrived at the barren and desolate land of Rajputana which is now known as Rajasthan. On his way to India, he enrolled large numbers of people into his fold and blessed thousands of others with spiritual power.
