A R Rahman is world famous now. He has won 2 oscars. A little about him -Allah Rakha Rahman was on born January 6, 1967 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India He is a great film composer, record producer, musician and singer. His film scoring career began in the early 1990s.His first hits were Roja . He has won thirteen Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe and two Academy Awards.



A R Rahman lives in a joint family. He is married to Saira Banu and has two daughters Kadhija and Raheema and a son Khwaja Mohammad Roo mi Rahman.
Also he has 3 sisters (Raihana, Talath and Israth),.His sisters Raihana, Talath and Israth are good and professionally trained musicians. They often sing for him in chorus and appear on stage performances as well. He loves his mother Kareema Begum and dedicated oscar win to her.
Many credit him with having single-handedly revolutionized the standards of film music composition in India. He is also credited with re-energizing the popularity of Indian film music the world over.
